Assumes 24-hour responsibility for the administrative management for various surgical areas including but not limited to Operating Room, Pre-Admission Testing, PACU, Pre-op, Scheduling Services, Perfusion Services and OR Case review.

Provides oversight for the development of safety practices, and regulatory compliance. 

Facilitates empowerment of staff in the development of creative and innovative patient care models and stimulates a collaborative multidisciplinary team approach in the continuous improvement of patient care service.

Assumes responsibility, in conjunction with and in collaborative relationships with both medical and non-medical leadership and assumes responsibility for fiscal management of the service line. 

Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. 

Master's degree in Nursing, Business Management, or Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or other related field preferred.  

Five (5) years of progressively more responsible nursing experience, preferably within perioperative nursing, with at least two years in a supervisory role.
